Are you a huge fan of the Godzilla and/or King Kong film series? If so, we might have a new movie that could be of interest to you. On Dec. 1, a Norwegian monster film titled Troll arrives on Netflix, and you’ll definitely want to check it out.
Troll is an action-adventure film helmed by Roar Uthaug from a screenplay he co-wrote with Espen Aukan. You might recognize Uthaug as the director of the 2018 movie Tomb Raider starring Alicia Vikander. In addition, if you watch many Norwegian movies, you might know Aukan for his work on the horror flick Vikingulven.
The story follows a group of people who band together to try to stop a gigantic creature from wreaking havoc on everything in its way, including the capital of Norway. The creature is an ancient troll who had been trapped deep inside the mountain of Dovre for a thousand years until it awakens from an explosion. Will the group of heroes save the day? Ine Marie Wilmann portrays the role of Nora Tidemann, a woman whose job was to dig up fossils before being given the position of a scientific advisor to help stop the troll. Wilmann is best known for her roles in the movies Homesick and Sonja: The White Swan and the TV shows Det tredje øyet, ZombieLars, Furia and Exit.
